Founder Meet Manuel Segura
Manuel Segura is a seasoned engineering and validation professional with more than four decades of experience supporting the pharmaceutical, medical device, food manufacturing, and industrial sectors. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for technical excellence, practical problem-solving, and an unwavering commitment to quality, compliance, and operational performance.
Originally from New Mexico, Manuel developed an interest in science, engineering, and how things work at an early age. Much of that passion was nurtured through the guidance of his brother, who served as both a mentor and role model during his formative years. Those experiences helped shape the work ethic, curiosity, and hands-on approach that would define his career.
After earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Mexico, Manuel went on to hold engineering, validation, quality assurance, manufacturing, and leadership positions with organizations in highly regulated industries. His expertise includes equipment, process, and utility validation; high-purity water systems; GMP compliance; root cause analysis; quality systems; and operational excellence. Over the years, he has successfully led complex projects, developed validation programs, and supported manufacturing operations across multiple facilities and industries.
Manuel’s passion for engineering extends beyond his professional career. He has spent years sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation, including mentoring and teaching the same engineering and problem-solving principles to his son, who now serves as co-founder of Segura Water Sciences. Together, they combine decades of experience with a shared commitment to helping clients solve complex operational and validation challenges.
Today, Manuel resides in Phoenix, Arizona, where he enjoys spending time with his two adult children and his growing family of grandchildren. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, supporting his family’s activities, and encouraging entrepreneurial thinking among his children and grandchildren. Whether offering advice, sharing lessons learned, or simply being present as a supporter and guiding influence, Manuel takes great pride in helping those around him pursue their goals and build successful futures.
At Segura Water Sciences, Manuel’s vision remains the same as it has throughout his career: to provide practical, science-driven solutions that help organizations operate safely, efficiently, and confidently while building meaningful relationships that last for generations.
Manny Segura Jr.
Manny is a born entrepreneur with an aptitude for hands on technical processes. He has built two successful business in the automotive detailing industry over the last two decades alongside his father. As an owner operator, he managed training, quality control, operations and client relations while continually developing the most efficient and high end services in the industry.
An engineer at heart and a gifted athlete, Manny attended New Mexico State University where he studied mechanical engineering and played basketball for the Aggies under the infamous head coach Lou Henson. Hard work, competition and excellence at the sharp end became the norm, building the engineering foundation he would carry into the rest of his career.
Fast forward to the current day where Manny competes as a self taught professional motorcycle road racer with his own race engineering team Red Lobo Racing in the MotoAmerica national series. Here Manny has worked alongside Japanese motorcycle manufacturers namely, Honda, Kawasaki Heavy and Suzuki Heavy to consistently extract the most performance out of the fastest superbikes built for competition. While absorbing knowledge from some of the sharpest race engineering minds and teams in the United States and abroad, Manny has become one of the most prevalent privateers in the professional paddock.
Through racing Manny has developed a keen understanding of data analysis, materials engineering, system dynamics and design and system operations. All the while building teams and managing logistical strategies to optimize performance on and off track.
This has led to the formation of Segura Water Sciences alongside his father, as they have always enjoyed working together! Their shared passion for engineering, science and problem solving unifies to provide clients with validation and complex systems optimization and solutions.
Manny spends his time outside his respective professions as a family man, committed to enjoying the growth of his 5 children with his beautiful wife Phelicia. Together they enjoy traveling and building their dreams for the future. Segura Water Sciences being one of them.
